Blog invitations sent

I just sent an e-mail containing a link and some simple instructions to sign up to the course blog. If you have trouble with the signup process, please let me know (xavier.marquez@vuw.ac.nz). These e-mails come from blogger directly, and have been sent to your e-mail address on file with the university (NOT your myvuw.ac.nz address, unless that's the address you have on file); check your Spam folder if you don't see it. If you are registered or on the waitlist but do not receive this e-mail, please let me know as well.

Once you have signed up, there are two ways to post. First, if you want to post a comment on someone's post, just go to the main blog page directly and click on one of the "comment" links. Then write your comment - making sure you have the correct identity set up - and post. Voila!

Second, if you want to post to the main page (not just comment on someone else's post), go to http://www.blogger.com, log in, find the blog, and click on "new post." The editor should open, and you should be easily able to write a post.

Remember that though you are welcome to post under any name you like, I need to know who is posting in order to give you points. So, if you happen to choose a particularly creative pseudonym, please e-mail me to let me know that it's you.

If you want to keep up with the blog but don't want to clutter your e-mail with everyone's posts (you can ask for this), a good alternative is to use an RSS reader. I use feedly (http://www.feedly.com), but many others are available. (Of course, you can simply visit the blog page once a week to keep up with what's being posted).
