Cryptocurrency
North Korea has recently begun developing a new cryptocurrency. This has come to my attention as I was assigned Venezuela for our upcoming assignment, and they also have there own cryptocurrency known as "Petrol Token" .This raises new economic opportunities for North Korea and I though it to be best to share this with the class. Perhaps now North Korea will grow, and therefore raise the living standard(of at least a few) with in the country.

Musketeer - the Venezuelan cryptocurrency is really a bit of a scam - part of the larger web of corruption in the Venezuelan government. I would assume the NK cryptocurrency is also something designed to enrich people at the top.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Prof Marquez, maybe this is a Western-based bias but it seems to me that NK is not the best at the whole 'greater good thing', they are the best, however, at the whole 'if it benefits the Kims, we're in.'
