Hi all,
Grades are now available for the final week of blog contributions. You can access them via the "My Grades" feature on Blackboard, I think; let me know if you cannot find them.
You can see both your grade for the last week of blog contributions, on a scale of 0-3, for all contributions up until 5 pm on Thursday, and the final blog grade (in the column "total blog so far," up to 20 points). The informal contributions are graded according to the following criteria: 0 points, no contribution or irrelevant contribution; 1 points, very minimal comment or insufficiently relevant contribution; 2 points, regular contribution; 3 points, exceptional contribution. If you contributed but didn't receive any points, let me know - it is possible that I may have missed something. It is also possible, if you do not see a grade but contributed something, that you may have already achieved the maximum of 20 points for the regular blog contributions (since you cannot get more than 20 points for the regular contributions). Check the "total blog so far" column in my grades if you think you are in this position. Thanks for all your contributions!
Grades for the "data entry" part of the RCE are also available. These are on 1-10 scale, according to the following criteria: whether the justifications you wrote explain your answers to the questionnaire clearly (including the period you chose to focus on) or explain why no explanation is really necessary; whether you note the sources you used (and any issues you encountered while using the classification system); and whether your research seems reasonable to answer the questions. In some cases (not all) Rebekah or I have provided some short comments on your answers.
Thanks for all your hard work in this course, including all your contributions to the blog. I hope you enjoyed these conversations in the blog!
Best,
Xavier
Have not got any comments grade for this week? This is week 12 correct? Only got for week 11. Thanks. :) For the marking of 'data entry' can i ask for a review as i think the amount of work 'put in' is pretty intense considering the questions were so detailed and vague in some aspect. Appreciate a comment on this. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMother-Earth, you already had 20 points, the maximum (so you could not gain additional points). I'll take a look at your other grade and let you know via e-mail.
DeleteThank you Dr Marquez....:) The other one is on its way shortly.
