Mass protests in support of the deposed President Marc Ravalomanana have taken place in recent days in the island nations' capital, Antananarivo. Over 8,000 people partook in the protest, suggesting that the 'popularist' revolution of Andry Rajoelina may not be as widely supported as he had hoped.
In addition, the African Union has suspended Madagascar from its' meetings until the leadership crisis can be resolved.
Can Rajoelina sustain his rule amongst the apparent increase in opposition to his rule, both internally and externally?
