She was selected by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon from more than 80 applicants, and is the first women to hold the position. Clark was backed by John Key and the government in lobbying for the position
Clark also gains a hefty salary of around $500,000

She's done NZ proud! It's very exciting to have our previous PM, as the first woman in such a high position, she must've really stood out form the crowd!
