Suu Kyi Court Case
I found this article interesting as it talks about not only Myanmar's military regime, but also how it deals with dissidents- "Myanmar's courts operate under the influence of the military and almost always deal harshly with political dissidents" - I thought was pretty relevant following the last couple of lectures! Suu Kyi's party won an election in 1990 but the military regime (which has been in place since the 60's) refused to honor the results. Suu Kyi has spent the last 13 years in detention without a trial.
