Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has insisted that his military has the resources to deal with the increasingly bold Taleban forces that have seized power of large areas of Northern Pakistan.
Zardari said Pakistan "[is] doing what it must to root out domestic militants..."
American and British officials have expressed concern and frustration over the increasingly dangerous situation within the large Muslim nation, with British PM Gordon Brown criticising Pakistan's continuing rivalry with neighbours India, which appears to have priority over the domestic crisis.
Hopefully the Pakistani military can push back Taleban forces, and reclaim the North from extremist groups.
I had to do a bullet point explanation for my friend about the situation in Pakistan. I thought I’d share..

To their left is Iran (self explanatory)
And to their right is Afghanistan (self explanatory)
America needs to get to those places to get air bases, on the boarder of Pakistan which will let them in.
They want to get into Pakistan to help deal with the conflict.
This situation is made more difficult as Pakistan wont be pushed.. as they are in possession of a nuclear bomb. That’s one of the reasons India has not made a move..
