Censored Words Usage (grrr)

The party has become increasingly concerned about the usage of censored words in this blog and in class/tutorial. I am here to remind you all of the consequences (loss of points) when you choose to not honor the censorship. Violations of this nature are taken very seriously and actions will be taken against those who do not improve their behavior. If you need a refresher on what the censored words are you can find them on the slides posted for our first ever lecture.

In the meantime- here are some ways to avoid using them on accident if your plan is not to let down the party and have your failures lead to classwide consequences

  • Expand your vocabulary. Doing the required readings and other supplementary readings for your topics will give you a stronger idea of the terminology used by political scientists outside of these dreary, offensive, and meaningless words that I have been forced to read my entire university life
  • Google Doc/ Word document search. These softwares have the ability to search for specific words in the document. Before posting to the blog, copy your work into a doc or word and search the censored words using the document search feature available to make sure they haven't accidentally slipped in. If you are unsure how to use this feature there are many tutorials on google and youtube.
  • Challenge yourself to stop using these words in your other classes to stop them from slipping out. As previously mentioned, these words are overdone and tired, let's bring some vocab light to academia.
Thank you for your overall attempts at not using the censored words, but please try harder. It is frustrating to the party and our hardworking leader who has to waste his precious time censoring out your violations in the blog.

  2. Thank you very much for this weekly contribution Eden! It is equal parts a stark reminder of the people's inadequacies, and a benevolent hand attempting to guide us back to the right path. The tools tips and tricks provided in this blog post are a valuable addition to the peoples arsenal. To those reading this: please be aware that even if words are used in the reading, they are still banned. Please remember this when quoting, citing, or putting in the title.
