Are corporations the biggest threat to democracy? during our lectures we discussed how lobbying is a weakness of democratic regimes and more authoritarian regimes are more insulated from lobbying pressures. this story discusses how some of the worlds largest organisations are undermining democracy. This raised the question for me around whether corporations have directly lead to a regime change, and in the future if this will become more common?
Not all authoritarian regimes are so insulated, Ben - most aren't. But some seem to have been to some extent.
