Venezuela's army declaring their loyalty to Maduro's government reaffirms Maduro's hold over state power and Venezuela's unlikeliness to lean towards becoming a democratic state anytime soon. The people, and opposition to Maduro are calling for the military to stand on the side of the people, rather than Maduro. However it is likely that the military leader's fear of Maduro is what is truly ensuring their military support.
