Weekly Blog Post (WK 5)

This news article by the Guardian was interesting to me because it emphasised a lot of in class learning. For example, the article emphasises how in a dictatorship no matter how much power or control the dictator has, without the support of the elite they simply will not retain this power. This article relates this back to the likes of Russia, North Korea and China. Within this article there is an interesting section that focuses on the idea of dictatorships being fragile regardless of the control that the dictator has. The reason for this being that resources to satisfy the rich are not endless and people power will often shine through when they take a stand against the dictator.
